Starting Entrepreneur

Business started within the last 2 years.
May or may not be a DTI-registered business
Primary owner is an Academy Alumnus or SGMB graduate
Asset size should not be more than P 3 Million.
A chapter member in good standing as endorsed by the chapter president.
3 winners from each of the 5 regions of the Academy in the Philippines (North Luzon, Central Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao)

Model Chapters

Starting Entrepreneur

Chapters who have achieved significant improvements leading to impact on their members.
Consistent chapter meetings and attendance throughout the year.
Effective in helping create businesses and supporting the growth of those who are able to succeed.
Officers have completed the Duty to Lead and Launching Leaders programs.
Project or program initiatives to help fulfill the Mission of the Academy.
Inquire with your Regional Coordinator if you want to be nominated for this Recognition.

Assess and Improve Your Business

By going through the process of applying for the competition, the questionnaire allows participants to evaluate how well they have applied sound business principles. The judging process and following feedback will has also help participants gain insights that may help them continue to improve as business owners.

Recognition and Prizes

Winners will be included in our nationwide postings and promotion. They will also have the chance to be recommended to the BYU Management Society Business Competition.

Below are the cash prizes for the Academy Business Competition:

1st Prize - P25,000

2nd Prize - P15,000

3rd Prize - 8,000
